After visiting the EAs website my opinion changed a bit. Southan’s opinion on them seemed to be very extreme when you would read the article “Is Art A Waste of Time”. When I read through the website I still understood their idea of helping others but they do talk about not just giving your money to help. They talk about volunteering and giving up time of your day to help others. I still do not like how they say that you should base your life devoted to fixing a world problem. People have their own lives to live as well and when you tell them to not do what they please then what would you consider their quality of life as?
When I read through the article again it helped me gain more incite into what Southan is talking about and it also allowed me to create more ideas towards the article. I took more time thinking about what Southan said and some of the quotes that he used. I am not depicting Southan as completely wrong about the EAs because I still do disagree with a lot of what they have to say. I drew many conclusions as to what each quote meant and if there was any other meanings to them. I was not as focused on just getting trough it this time, I could take a few moments and understand the article more. Glossing through the text helped me a lot actually, taking my time to actually find out everything Southan had said gave me a greater understanding of everything. I used an online dictionary to help me find out what the words I did not know meant.
